My Christmas novel ROBYN: A CHRISTMAS BRIDE will be very releasing soon. While I’m waiting for feedback from editors, beta readers, and the Noelle authors (because I used 27 of their characters—and they need to check if I portrayed them all accurately in our shared world of Noelle, Colorado), I’m now writing my book blurb and making my teaser graphics.
The favorite Llewellyn that Grandpa Gus Peregrine is talking about (in the teaser graphic above) is Robyn Llewellyn, my curly red-haired Welsh tomboy wagon-driving heroine who works for Max Peregrine at Peregrines’ Post & Freight in Denver…before she decides to travel to Noelle for a transformation (think My Fair Lady) from her friend, Birdie Bell Peregrine, and the other Brides of Noelle…who are all now happily married, so they must be the experts!
Robyn wants to learn to dress and act like a lady because she has a secret love, and she’s done waiting for him to notice her. She’s decided to make a big change and win the heart of the man who she considers to be her perfect match.
I’m also tidying the pictures I gathered for inspiration in a Pinterest board as I wrote Robyn and Max’s story.
WHAT KIND OF PICTURES?
Pictures of… peregrine falcons, robins, Clydesdale horses, mules, freight wagons, real-life wild women wagon driver (like Stagecoach Mary and Charley Parkhurst), Monmouth wool caps, snowy mountain homes, old west main streets and post offices, a hurdy-gurdy (sometimes called a crank or wheel fiddle), and LOTS of pictures of red-haired men and women (like Eleanor Tomlinson and Merida) because not only is my heroine, Robyn, a redhead but so are her three brothers (Brynmor, Heddwyn, and Griffin) and Grandpa Gus too.

And who are the 27 NOELLE CHARACTERS making an appearance in ROBYN: A CHRISTMAS BRIDE (besides—of course—Birdie, Jack, and Grandpa Gus)?
Reverend Chase Hammond, Felicity Partridge Hammond, Mayor Charlie Hardt, Penny Hamilton Lowell Jackson Hardt, Josefina Morales de Zapatero Villanueva, Nacho Villanueva, Victoria Villanueva Vela, Norah Mulligan Malone, Seamus Malone, Woody Burnside, Culver Daniels, Ezra Thornton, Storm Thornton, Molly Norris Thornton & her goose, Jasper, Daphne Dolittle Brooks, Liam Fulton, Avis Smith Fulton, Cara O’Donnell Deane, Doctor Colin Deane, Pearl Draven, Minnie Coveney Montgomery, Rosalind Creary Hawkinson, Jane Creary, Romeo Johnson, Matchmaker Genevieve Walters Kinnison, and…one more.
Someone who holds a special place in Gus’ heart and who makes him extremely happy by talking to him again (after a mysterious break in their relationship) in the final scene of Robyn and Max’s story.
I’m not saying the person’s name…as a teaser 🙂 but if you’ve read the other Noelle stories you might be able to guess. If you do, feel very free to comment on the name below 🙂 🙂
And don’t forget to follow me on BookBub to receive a message when ROBYN: A CHRISTMAS BRIDE (or any of my new stories) releases.
