Memories of France: Colorful Windows

Blue window shutters in Aix-en-Provence, France
In August, I took a trip to southern France (plus a whirlwind one-week cruise around the Mediterranean) which now seems more and more like a dream. Luckily, I took lots of pictures to keep the memories fresh – and colorful! 🌈

I was reminded of just how colorful when I started organizing my photos and saw so many colorful windows like these…

I loved all the colors in France, including the blue of the sea and the surprising amount of green foliage – seen in the summer in such a dry location. I was told that this part of southern France (around Provence) has a lot of water stored underground due to the type of rock.

And hurrah for water and trees because blue-green is my favorite color πŸ’™πŸ’š

What’s your favorite color?

  1. My favourite colour changes with the seasons, I think. In spring I love the delicate pinks and pale blues of forget-me-nots and apple blossoms, in summer green is much admired and come fall, I turn to the warmth of earth colours and in winter, I like jewel colours. I was just at my local wool shop and they have bins of emerald green, teal blue, hot pink . . . I’m itching to knit something bright.

I'd love to hear from you. Please type your comment in the box below.
