What do Angels have to do with the Wild West?
I love making memes and social media banners. Probably a bit too much. I can spend hours playing with images, text, color combinations, and more.
I use a package called Stencil (but I’ve heard Canva is great as well) and a free image site called Pixabay.
For my newest release, Choosing Bravery, I suddenly thought: Angels. And I made this…
Why? Choosing Bravery isn’t a fantasy or a fairy tale or even a paranormal. It’s a Western historical romance adventure, but I like to think the story includes elements of spirituality, the mystical, a deep reverence for Mother Nature and the earth, and people who save each other—body and soul.
THE WILDERNESS GUIDE ANGEL: Choosing Bravery (Lonesome Hearts series)
THE CHARACTERS: Lachlan Bravery & Élodie Rousseau – the fugitive tracker & the wilderness guide.
AN EXCERPT: Through the trees circling the cave where his humanity had almost ended, Lachlan Bravery saw everything his heart desired and dreaded. His wildly beautiful savior had finally left him. Élodie Rousseau had taken her sharp wit and tender heart and returned to the place that had torn him apart.

Choosing Bravery isn’t the only story where I refer to angels though. I have others…
THE SALOON-SINGER ANGEL: Between Love & Lies (Gambling Hearts, Book 1)
THE CHARACTERS: Noah Ballantyne & Sadie Sullivan – the Texas drover & the saloon singer/cardsharp.
AN EXCERPT: Awareness prickled the nape of Noah’s neck as he and Lewis stood in the doorway of the Northern Star Saloon.
“Jesus,” Lewis whispered. “An angel is singing about Texas. I must have died and gone to heaven.”
Sweet Jesus, indeed. He’d never heard a voice as compelling as the one that washed over him now. The husky rawness awakened every nerve in his body. It drew him like a parched man to a watering hole.
His step quickened as he pushed through the crowd in search of the voice’s owner. Cowhands, trail bosses, and wealthy cattle barons pressed shoulder to shoulder, all focused on one thing—the redhead on a raised stage in the far corner. His redhead.

THE TRICK-RIDING ANGEL: Between Home & Heartbreak (Gambling Hearts, Book 2)
THE CHARACTERS: Lewis Adams & Eldorado Jane – the Texas horseman & the Wild West trick-riding superstar.
AN EXCERPT: Lying flat on his back, squinting at the sycamores swaying against a hazy blue sky, every bone in Lewis Adams’ body ached, berating him for letting the half-broke Appaloosa Cayuse toss him out of the saddle and over the fence.
The silhouette of a woman, framed by a sunshine halo, leaned over him and cast a soothing shadow. “You almost had him.” Her smooth-as-honey voice held a hint of amusement.
At last, an angel had descended from the heavens to ease his burdens. One bearing encouraging words as well as laughter. Exactly the kind he liked, and needed.
An easy smile lifted his lips. Now here was a reason for lying in the dirt. Damned if he’d move and spook her. Stay with me. Don’t disappear.
